Dr. Hui Liu
MD, Ph.D., MSC
Dr. Liu is an internationally recognized Reproductive Scientist and Embryologist with remarkable achievements and contributions in the human reproductive field. Dr. Liu created three-parent embryos, leading to delivering the so-called first baby of three parents in the world. He serves as the Chief Embryologist - Scientific Director at ALLcare Fertility Center.
Currently, Dr. Liu focuses on oocyte maturation to find a way to overcome the barriers to elder woman infertility. Dr. Liu has successfully created embryos from GV in elder women, by applying an in vitro maturation technique for very immature oocytes at the GV stage, a significant step for germinal vesicle transfer, a technique aiming to provide alternative treatment for maternal aged infertility.
Dr. Liu has extensive unique research and a clinical background. Dr. Liu got his MD in 1985 and MSC in 1990. Dr. Liu was an Associate professor in the National Key Laboratory of Reproductive Biology at the Institute of Zoology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences for eight years. Dr. Liu was invited as a research scientist to join the IVF program at NYU for ten years. participating in IVF research developing the technique for maternal-aged infertility and developing a vitrification technique for egg cryopreservation.
Dr. Liu has more than 50 publications worldwide, well-known prestige journals, and numerous oral presentations at ASRM.
